Role summary
As Caruso’s first Sales Development Representative in the US, you’ll play a foundational role in our go-to-market motion. Working directly with our founder, you’ll be responsible for identifying high-value prospects, initiating outbound campaigns, qualifying leads, and booking meetings that convert into long-term customers. This is a unique opportunity to get in early at a high-growth company, build deep knowledge of enterprise SaaS sales, and grow your career quickly as we scale.
What you'll do:
- Account Prospecting: Identify and research potential customers who fit the company's ideal customer profile (ICP).
- Identify Key Personas: Research key decision-makers and pain points to assess sales potential.
- Outreach: Execute multi-channel outreach campaigns via email, phone, LinkedIn, and industry events.
- Lead Qualification: Assess leads through targeted questions and conversations to determine their suitability as potential customers.
- Appointment Setting: Schedule high-quality discovery calls and product demos.
- CRM Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities in Hubspot, our CRM system.
- Sales Pipeline Management: Build and manage a pipeline of outbound prospects, from initial contact to qualified opportunity.
- Insights & Collaboration: Collaborate closely with leadership, marketing, product and customer success teams to feed insights back into the business.
- Represent Team Caruso: Attend in-person meetings, industry events, and conferences as needed.
What we're looking for:
- Prior Sales Experience: 2+ years of SDR, BDR or outbound sales experience, ideally in a B2B SaaS or fintech environment.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate our value proposition.
- Self-Motivation and Drive: Proactive, resourceful, and self-driven, you take ownership of outcomes.
- Sales Tech Savvy: Proficient in using various sales tools (CRM, etc) to execute outbound sales workflows.
